The Volkswagen Tiguan R-Line Ready For Orders

The Volkswagen Tiguan R-Line Ready For Orders

volkswagen_tiguan_r_line_1The Volkswagen R-Line is ready to start conquering the UK market with brand new 18-inch alloys and a sportier look. This R-Line trim is the newest addition to the already impressive range of Volkswagen Tiguan available on the UK market.

If you didn’t know, the Tiguan is actually the fourth best-selling model of the German automaker. The top three includes the Golf, the Polo and the Passat which have been popular on the market for years. Most of the sales that have ensured the Tiguan’s position in the top five of best selling Volkswagen cars involve the R-Line trim, so many have wondered why it took so long for the carmaker to make this trim available in the UK. It’s like they didn’t know the R-Line trim is responsible for 20 percent of all the latest generation Tiguan cars sold.

This R-Line trim is so popular because it’s based on the SE trim level available for interested Tiguan car buyers and adds quite a few goodies that are worth mentioning. There are first of all the bi-xenon headlights, then the contrast between the silver wheels and the black wheelarch extensions and finally the sportier look ensured by the 18-inch alloys and the redesigned front and rear bumpers. This sporty style is also used inside the car where you will find sport seats in two tones and pedals made from stainless steel. However, the most attractive offer of the R-Line trim remains the one related to the engine. That’s because that offer gives you the chance to equip the Tiguan with one of three powerful engines. One of them is a TSI petrol engine with a capacity of 2.0 litres and 207bhp while the other two are both TDI engines with a capacity of 2 litres, but one is able to develop only 138bhp and not 168bhp like the more powerful version. To those engine versions you can add the 4MOTION all-wheel drive and a manual gearbox that comes as standard. The prices are not that bad either, because they start at £28,020 and rise only to £28,435 for the petrol engine version mentioned.
