Skoda Rapid And Its Pricing Details

Skoda Rapid And Its Pricing Details

skoda-rapidThe Skoda Rapid was revealed like many other new cars during the Paris Motor Show and is expected on the UK car market by the end of the year as a vehicle capable of challenging the German Volkswagen Golf and the Ford Focus. After all it’s based on the Volkswagen Polo platform that was wisely stretched and packaged so that it makes available a generous 550-litre boot.

This is the car that Skoda has decided to include in its new plan that involves selling no more and no less than 1.5 million cars every year. The other cars part of this plan are the Fabia and the Octavia, so the Rapid was wisely designed so that it can cover precisely the range between the two models mentioned. In the same time this is a new model part of a new and aggressive Skoda campaign that involves unveiling a new vehicle every six months. That means you should expect to see in the near future even more Skoda cars that wear the sleek and minimalist lines of the Skoda Rapid. These are lines that were introduced along with the Vision D concept car, so they definitely are the future of Skoda.

These are all impressive details but what matters the most is that the reveal of the Rapid has finally been accompanied by pricing details. So, if you are interested in buying the most inexpensive option available you will have to spend £12,900 on a Rapid S. The pricing is not that bad for the top-spec option either because it involves spending only £17,850 on a beautiful Rapid Elegance. This most expensive Rapid model is powered by a TDI engine with a capacity of 1.6 litres able to deliver 104bhp. The same power is developed by the second Rapid Elegance version that is priced at only £16,100 and makes available a TSI engine with a capacity of 1.2 litres. The entry-level model also benefits from two versions: one powered by a 1.2-liter engine and the other one by a 1.2-liter TSI engine that increases the price to £13,700.  In between you will find the SE model that makes available 3 engine versions.
