But instead of apologising for his blunder, the ‘Candy’ hit maker has hit out at Gwyneth and her Coldplay husband Chris Martin for giving the little girl such a… in his words… ‘stupid’ name. 
Robbie told German GQ magazine that the incident happened during a party at the Take That singer’s home as Robbie got his fruits mixed up, asking Gwyn’s girl “Does little melon like an apple?” 
And even though he insists people should stick to normal names for their children, we’re not sure that Robbie’s new daughter Theodora “Teddy” Williams has the most common of names!
