How Frequent Do You Need To Blog?

Do you frequently visit your blog? Many bloggers don’t have a permanent schedule whenever they blog. But, if you’ve seen other blogger’s column, you’ve perhaps noticed that they normally suggest to do posting everyday. So that leaves us with a dilemma: How often do we really need to blog?

Making  an article eats a lot of  time, and most of the bloggers don’t have much time to do it. To create quality blog entries, a blogger plans his piece, writes it and then edits it before finally hitting the publish button. Several bloggers require extra time because they want to add high quality photos on their article. For example, if it’s a gadget blog, the blogger must include the photos of  the gadgets showing its features; if it’s a fashion blog, the blogger must have pictures of the latest trendy shoes.

An added aspect to consider is the availability of the blogger when it comes to updating his blog. If blogging is not your main job, you would encounter difficulty to post an article everyday when you are busy with other things. Having said that, blogging on a day-to-day basis may not be doable for many. But then, readers might think that the blog is no longer active when it is not updated.

So here’s the reality. It really depends to the blogger on how he will schedule his blog updates. Blogs are not the same, but the leaders in the industry wants us to practice consistency. If you have the chance to update your blog everyday, don’t hesitate to do so. Your followers would surely love to read your daily updates.  But if daily updates would be very difficult to attain, then you can remain to have your bi-weekly or tri-weekly update.

As soon as you get hooked to blogging, there’s a big possibility that you will create as many blogs as you can. Based on your audience profile, you should know whether a blog needs a daily update or not. It takes time before an article attain a certain success so creating a follow up blog right away is not an assurance to hit popularity. So there’s no need to hurriedly create a post the next day.    

Everyday blogging is a great move. However,don’t consider blogging just to make your blog active. It’s important to choose quality over quantity of articles because in the end, its what the readers come back for.
