The New Jaguar C-X75 will Have a 500 hp Engine

Jaguar has revealed some secrets of the future British supercar, C-X75. The prototype presented in 2010 was equipped with two electric motors and two aircraft mini-turbines. UK manufacturer has kept the idea of hybrid, but replaced the turbine with a 1.6 litre engine.

Even if the engine seems undersized for such a model, Jaguar claims that helped produce a midget engine turbocharger and a supercharger no less than 500 horsepower and reach at 10,000 RPM. Electric motors are arranged one for the front and one for rear axle, was powered by a set of batteries weighing 200 kg, is the hardest part of the car.

In Sport mode, ie when the internal combustion engine is assisted by electric motors, Jaguar C-X75 goes from 0 to 100 km/h in under three seconds, top speed exceeding 320 km/h. Even in eco mode (classic power unit is not working) the future British supercar promises to be very fast. 0-100 km/h in just six seconds. The power is transmitted continuously to the four wheels through a gearbox with seven automated reports.
