Renault has postponed release of Zoe electric cars because of failures

Renault intends to defer the release of electric vehicle Zoe due to the problems associated with the software. The car will go on sale until the year 2013. However, order novelty can be from as early as September this year - immediately after the premiere of the car at the Paris Motor Show. 

In may, the Renault hinted that electric hatchback will be much greater if Zoe demand than the Nissan Leaf. The company expects to produce 150000 Zoe annually, making the fourth model to the lineup of electric models, including sedan Fluence and Kangoo, Twizy. 

«Zoe will become the first èlektrokarom in Europe, meeting all the needs of mass consumers,» - said Thierry Koskas, head of unit for the development of electric vehicles. 

Zoe, as Leaf, is five-Megane hatchback. He is slightly shorter than the competitor from Nissan-4084 mm to 4445 mm. The car will be equipped with the latest technological innovations, and its price will be less than the Leaf. "Leaf went on sale two years earlier than Zoe which is a next-generation electric vehicle, said Thierry Koskas. It boasts a technology which has no Leaf, for example, regenerative braking and special tires to help expend less energy. Prices will start from Zoe 15700 euros. For comparison, the Leaf will cost at least € 30990 and its reserve is 175 km against 210 at Zoe.
