RouteBuddy 3.3 - Automatic Map Install Release

RouteBuddy have packed a wealth of new features and fixes into version 3.3 and, with users now able to install maps with a simple command (or even drag-and-drop!) All the problems of single, or multiple, map installs have now been solved with just one simple click.

In removing the bother of tedious map installs, and by creating and incorporating their own in-app file decompression and extraction engines, RouteBuddy have uniquely rewritten the manual for any digital map software user.


Reveal Maps
Move Maps easily to iPad, iPhone and iPod touch. With RouteBuddy's new "Reveal Maps" feature. One click from the menu opens RouteBuddy's dedicated maps folder, allowing easy access to all installed maps for quick and easy transfer to any iOS device.

Height Data (UK)
Following feedback from UltraWalkers on the varied height data reported in all competing applications, RouteBuddy have made major changes to their software and, working to outperform rivals, RouteBuddy now offers outstanding OSGB spot height reports and elevation data graphs.

Performance
Improved right across the software - feature elements include... Import speed, Data Analysis and Screen Rendering, all show high performance increases and particular attention has been paid to the following:
Route modifications.
Multiple Route import.
Ignore bad geocoding data from imports.
Geodata import of Waypoints, Routes and Tracks.
Layer and Route notification performance improved.
Geodata rendering over the map, or aerial image, layer.
Tracks are now batch edited to increase speed when adding elevation.
Identical EULAs are now suppressed when auto-installing multiple maps.
Imported Routes are now incorporated as Direct Routes by default and import/render performance increased.

Enhanced Google Earth linkage
When RouteBuddy initiates Google Earth startup a notification now appears if the application is not installed. Additionally RouteBuddy now looks for both newer and older Google Earth version install locations which, has been noted, have varied by release.
