Anderson Cooper is always reporting, but he’s never reported his sexuality to the public… Until now.
He’s reportedly confirmed he’s gay and couldn’t be prouder.
The CNN correspondent and talk show host apparently came out in a letter connected to a story for TheDailyBeast.com, discussing social impacts of openly gay celebrities.
Cooper says he believes there is value in standing up as a proud, gay celebrity. And he couldn’t be more happy and comfortable.
He says he’s always been open about his sexuality with his family, friends and colleagues, but hasn’t felt like it was the public’s business…
Except with continued discrimination against people based on sexual orientation, he thinks it’s responsible to openly embrace it to help others.
